SAMBO - among Olympic sports
At the meeting of the IOC Executive Committee, which was held in Tokyo, Sambo was temporarily recognized as an Olympic sport.
This recognition from the International Olympic Committee will in the near future allow Sambo to enter the Olympic program and receive annual funding.
The famous Russian heavyweight and world champion in combat sambo Fedor Emelianenko wrote an appeal to the fans after Sambo was temporarily recognized as an Olympic sport.
