Vladimir Putin ordered the development of sambo in Russia
Russian President Vladimir Putin issued on November 16 a decree "On measures to support and develop sambo in the Russian Federation."
In particular, the head of state instructed the Russian cabinet to create an organizing committee to celebrate the 80th anniversary of sambo in 2018 and to develop a plan for holding celebratory events.
Additional measures to create conditions as the government needs to take for the mass involvement of citizens in the employment Sambo, to develop measures of state support of the members of the Russian national team on the combat sports.
